My 7 year old son has been taking piano lessons with Sophie for nearly a year now. He enjoys learning from Sophie, who is also very encouraging to him and brings out his passion for music. She provides notes following each lesson for Stanley to follow during practice. He had no previous experience with piano and it has been great to watch his milestones over the year. It has indeed been a pleasure and we hope to continue with the great relationship for this year too.

Sophie is an excellent teacher; she has high expectations for her students and at the same time is very patient and encouraging. She finds the right balance between making the process fun and setting very clear learning aims. Most of all, she knows her learners well and responds to their needs as they arise. My daughter really enjoys her lessons, which motivates her to practise at home. As a result, she has made very good progress in the last year. I would highly recommend Sophie!

My two sons of 9 and 12 years both take lessons with Sophie and they genuinely enjoy her approach to learning. Sophie will not hold back in the polite sense if the boys do not follow her pracise notes which is welcomed as it ensures we stay on the agreed trajectory of learning.

As an adult learner, I love my lessons with Sophie because she’s an inspirational teacher who has the ability to adapt her teaching to the pupil’s needs and who knows how to keep you motivated. She is great fun, caring, really patient which is so important and extremely encouraging. Having been with Sophie for over a year, I’m so pleased with my progress and would highly recommend her. She’s a joy to learn the piano with and I really look forward to my weekly lessons.

I am an older adult pupil and had taken a break from lessons but was not making any progress. I am so pleased I was introduced to Sophie and have been having lessons with her for several weeks and I am confident that I am already improving.
